Because the Spiral Reel Stalk Chopper prepares a superior seedbed. In fact, the Spiral Reel Stalk Chopper is specifically designed to do all the field preparation task necessary for peak production. In traditional, minimum, or no-till applications. Usually in a single pass.

Three Tools In One

The Spiral Reel Stalk Chopper is perfectly designed for field preparation. Its five hardened spiral steel blades chop heavy crop stubble at ground level and loosen soil around the root. Next, the 5-Bar Flexible Spike Tooth Harrow stirs, levels, and firms the loosened soil. Finally, the trailing spreader board completes the process, feathering residue and leveling plow ridges.

The Spiral Reel Stalk Chopper won't bury valuable topsoil or residue. In a single step, the soil is loosened, stirred, firmed, and leveled. Now your crop is ready for planting in the best seedbed you've ever made!

The Spiral Reel Stalk Chopper cuts stalks off at ground level, loosens the roots, and levels the field without burying residue.

In spring, the Spiral Reel Stalk Chopper loosens soil so that it warms up and dries out faster. Using the Spiral Reel Stalk Chopper helps get crops into the field sooner. Soil won't compact. It remains loose, level, and firm - ideal for the developing root structures of crops.

McFarlane's Stalk Chopper Seedbed Conditioner

The Stalk Chopper Seedbed Conditioner is a multipurpose field preparation tool used for either chopping stalks and/or preparing fields for planting. It is a unique combination of three tools: a spiral reel that chops stalks, a 5-Bar Flexible Spike Tooth Harrow that stirs and levels the loosened soil followed by an optional leveling board for additional field leveling.

How?

As the Stalk Chopper Seedbed Conditioner rolls over the field, standing stalks are cut. In addition, the spiral reel loosens the soil around the roots. The 5-Bar Flexible Spike Tooth Harrow creates additional soil stirring and leveling. Yet, it won't bury the cornstalk residue, nor will the residue plug the harrow.

This tool is ideal for one pass preparation in minimum-till and no-till applications
